Leap Frog fridge Phonics is probably the best gift my kid ever got. They are simply refrigerator magnets that know their names and know how to tell you. My son loves it and he is spelling up a storm. Thank you Auntie Nema.
There are two parts to it. The letter identifier and the actual word maker. The letter identifier has one single slot, and when you put the letter on it, it tells you what it is and how to pronounce it.
The word maker now has three slots, and three different functions, that help your toddler create words. It helps with the pronunciation of the letters and the word and the red dots light up above each letter as they are being called.
If you are going to invest in any gift for a child 5 and below, get this. It’s an amazing investment. I must also add, that the letters and main boards are inexplicably sturdy. Unless you submerge them in a tub full of water for over 3 minutes, or burn them in gasoline fire, this thing will not break. It is tough.
Kids are always messing with the refrigerator magnets anyway, at least with these, they’ll learn something.
